To be honest, I sometimes wonder if the sturm und drang that orbits my life is a bit much. Don’t you all just find it depressing? And then I read other blogs, and find that many of you are managing similar difficulties. My challenges are not so unique, after all. The things you write of lend solace and support. And laughter. I hope some of the things I write of resonate with you.

First off, and the only thing that is really, really important. Please allow me to give you a great big cyber hug! I finally had a chance to look at your blog, as I sit here in Atlanta, while on West Coast. Jet lagged from having traveled too much already this month.
Here’s another hug! You are a strong woman. Such an emotionally tumultuous year that you’ve had. Glad that you didn’t choose a permanent solution to life’s short term problems. Those gifts of grace, joy and enduring hope will comfort your soul and strengthen your resolve for many good things to come.
I pray everyday for the alcoholic who still suffers. Today, i’ll include you and your extended family.

Thanks again for the VBA. I opened the link and read the rules. Glad that I don’t have to write something as I am stretched for time lately.
I can comply, I think, with 7 things about myself.
1. Been in technology (software) for 28 years. I’m panicked, however, to figure out how to copy a link to your blog :).
2. I write a Blog, from time to time, which has an About Me, so you know about me :).
3. I generally don’t do/like the smiley thing, but have done it twice in a row.
4. Hockey was my sport, thus iceman. 18 my number.
5. My avatar is an image of a hockey player, not just a muted colorful picture.
6. LA Times held a contest a few years ago. Send us your autobiography in 6 words or less and we’ll publish the winners. #1 “Made a mess, cleaned it up”. That’s been my unofficial motto for the past 6 years.
7. I will be soberversary is February 9th. Six years.

These are great! I had a closer look at your avatar. I see it now. What a gorgeous image of a hockey player. I knew Iceman wasn’t a comment on the warmth of your heart. But I was curious. Mystery solved. 6 years. I’m thrilled for you. Hearing that fuels my hope. š š š
