Here we are, nearly five months since Sophie the stray joined the fluffy-black-cat household, to make three black cats. It took many, many weeks before she’d leave her safe room. And now, little Sophie hangs out downstairs with Sadie and Sally. While they’re not yet bosom buddies, the hissing has greatly reduced.
Here are a few photos of the girls hanging out in the same room this evening. And yes, I am the world’s worst photographer.

Great to see the progress 😉

We’ve still got a way to go, but they have come a long, long way. It’s like it was meant to be.

You did such a good thing in taking care of Sophie and it’s neat that she wants to hang out with the others. Great news!!!!

They still don’t like her very much. But they’re not as mean to her as they were at first. I am extra nice to her so she knows she’s loved.

My two boys didn’t like each other at first, either. They still have their spats but I try to make sure they get equal amounts of love.

They went well on that day. Other days Sadie and Sally stand post on the stairs and dare Sophie to try to pass.
